PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The MYBC Pathway Day Program is a selective weekly program for dancers who want to deepen their training while remaining enrolled at their academic school and continuing with their home ballet studio.

A clear, supported bridge between studio training, secondary education and each dancer’s next vocational, tertiary or professional opportunity.

2027 PROGRAM AT A GLANCE
Training day — Friday, 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Calendar — Aligned with Victorian school terms
Location — MYBC, 2 Lee Street, Carlton North
Entry — Application and audition
Pathways — Certificate III ages 13–15; Certificate IV ages 16–19
Home studio — Students retain their regular ballet-school enrolment and required hours
Academic school — Weekly release must be approved by the school
WHO THE PROGRAM IS FOR
A focused pathway for dancers ready to take responsibility for their development.
STUDENT PROFILE
• Currently enrolled at a ballet school
• Strong classical foundation; RAD Grade 5 or equivalent is an indicative minimum
• Ready for a full training day and agreed school catch-up arrangements
• Aged 13–19 at the start of the program (age as of April 30)
PATHWAY LEVELS
Certificate III — Ages 13–15
Certificate IV — Ages 16–18
SELECTION PROCESS
• Submit application and training history
• Attend MYBC Pathways Program audition
• Obtain home-studio acknowledgement and school approval
• Receive an offer, waitlist outcome or feedback
• Complete MYBC enrolment and, where attaining a qualification, Empowerdance enrolment
