Vision
Melbourne Youth Ballet Company's 2025 Pathway Program is designed to provide aspiring young dancers with additional, high-quality training to complement their existing dance education. This initiative aims to enhance technical skills, strength, artistic expression, and overall development, preparing students for professional opportunities in the world of dance.
Program Overview
The Pathway Program Extension is tailored for students currently enrolled in a ballet school who wish to deepen their training with extra classes.
Held every Friday night during Term 3, 2025, the program offers specialised training including ballet classes, pointe classes, and pilates sessions.
The first half of the term will focus on classical repertoire, while the second half will be dedicated to contemporary repertoire. Additionally, students will have access to MYBC workshops and an in-house performance at the end of the term.
Prerequisites
Formal ballet training at RAD Grade 4 (or equivalent)
Level 1: 12–14 years old
Level 2: 15–18 years old
Candidates should have a strong understanding of classical ballet technique.

4 practical hours in the studio – Fridays, 5pm– 9pm (in line with Victorian School Terms)
Class Content:
Ballet Class 1.5hr
Pointe Class 1hr
Pilates 45 min
Classical Repertoire (first half of the term) 1hr 15min
Contemporary Repertoire (second half of the term) 1hr 15min
